MUSKET WITH HANG TAG. Cal. 22 LR. S# 109565. Bbl. 28" Rd. No. 1 with dovetailed lug mounted blade front sight & factory mounted adjustable Krag rear sight. Notes on the record check specify the Krag rear sight was intentionally applied as close to the receiver as possible. The bbl has the Winchester proof applied approx. 1" forward of the rear sight. Blued takedown high wall action with single trigger. Full length finger groove forearm and uncheckered straight grip walnut stock set. Smooth steel buttplate. Factory butt and band mounted sling swivels. Mfg. 1910 & Shipped from the Mfg. in 1913. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: an original Winchester hang tag & Cody records check confirming the described configuration and shipping information. CONDITION: overall fine example with strong finish. Bbl retains 95% original bluing with some light muzzle wear and some patches of surface oxidation that has left some shallow pitting. The receiver finish remains vibrant with some pitting and finish loss at the takedown area & lower tang. The left side of the caries some moderate scratches and some minor handling marks. The receiver has 90% finish coverage. Bbl band, nosecap, buttplate and lever have moderate wear to the finish and some minor oxidation. Stock set is very fine with only a few very mild handling marks and original finish. Bright shiny bore with strong rifling. (25-1296/ZAL). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
